Electronic touch tablets, such as the iPad, assist students with communication, and allows them to learn information through educational games and reading material. Although iPad's can be beneficial for all learners, they are especially helpful for students who have poor fine motor skills and can not type on a keyboard. These students can easily tap the screen of the iPad and access the game or reading material needed, as well as type documents.
The four year old that I currently nanny for, loves playing on the iPad. She has various educational games that she plays, and has started to use the iPad to read simple books. This is a great way for beginner learners to gain knowledge, while also having fun.
